Our sweet little girl Kaleigh was born in January of 2008. I was SO excited for her to get here, and go shopping with her, play dress-up, have tea parties, and other girly activities. I soon realized that the sweet little newborn we brought home was far from being able to interact in all of those activities with her over-excited Mommy.
I did realize however that she could let me put pretty bows in her hair and put sweet little outfits on her. But bows were hard to find, so I started making them myself! (Kaleigh had and still has a bow to match every outfit). Everywhere I went people commented on my homemade "masterpieces". Before I knew it Valentines day and St. Patricks Day were here, and I wanted something super special to dress my sweet girl in. I couldn't find anything that I liked, so once again I made it! I found blank shirts, and had them embroidered with her name and a cute picture that went with the holiday. Once again, everywhere we went with these custom made outfits on, we got all the "oh's and ah's", and people had to know where to buy them. I started selling a few things on ebay, and would have someone else embroider them for me. When I saw how much how people LOVED my creations, I realized it would be much more economical if I was making the items myself… so Get Dolled Up Boutique was born!
Get Dolled Up Boutique is ran out of our home & it's a family affair! I am not some huge corporation-just your average stay-at-home Mommy of two adorable children. That being said, I am a Mommy first, and a business owner second. I do run errands, go on vacations, have sick children, etc. Orders usually ship in the time stated on the website; however, I'm not always available to answer the phone & I answer emails as fast as possible. If you are on a strict time line for your order please call me so I can have it to you on time!
My sweet girl has now caught up to her over-excited Mommy's plans for tea parties and dress-up…in fact, I can barely keep up sometimes! She is the Get Dolled Up Boutique model, and inspiration on all new baby and toddler products. In November of 2010 our Son, Bowman, made his big appearance. My husband won't let me put too many monograms on him(ha!), but hopefully our little boy line will grow as well. I feel so blessed to not only have such a sweet son & daughter, but to also be able to share our fun creations with others. I have enjoyed meeting SO many friendly and complimentary customers through Get Dolled Up Boutique , and LOVE receiving all the pictures and Thank You emails Please keep sending them!!
